In 1974, 「New Japanese Photography」were exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York, and in 2003, 「The History of Japanese photography」was exhibited at the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston. Both of these exhibitions promoted Japanese contemporary photography to the international photography market.
Today, it is again exhibited in the 1839 Contemporary Gallery, Taipei. Each photographer has his own different photographic expression technique. Display the 25 photographs by 13 photographers (among them Shinzo Maeda, Ikko Narahara, Daido Moriyama, Naohisa Hara, Koza Miyoshi, Taishi Hirokawa, Yoshihiko Ito, Michiko Ito, Eiji Ina, Tokihiro Sato, Yumiko Izu, Ken Kitano, Hal Photographer) to illustrate the constantly expanding limits of photographic expression.
The opening ceremony will be held at 3 pm on Saturday, January 8th, and everyone is welcome to come to the grand event.
